4. Phishing Button Missing
System Target: Microsoft Outlook Phishing Report Add-In.
Resolution Protocol: This tool is a third-party application dependent on background cloud server synchronization. Completely close Microsoft Outlook via Task Manager and relaunch the application to force a reload of active add-ins. If the button is still missing, force a full workstation reboot. If unresolved, wait for external synchronization to complete later.
5. Email Issues (Outlook & Webmail)
Resolution Protocol:
* If the desktop software fails to launch or load, log into the webmail browser portal to isolate the issue to the local client software profile.
* If mail fails to transmit, open the Outlook folder view, select the 'Outbox', and delete any large or stuck attachments blocking the queue.
* Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), highlight all Microsoft Outlook, Teams, or Office applications, and click 'End Task' before relaunching.
* Ensure the FortiClient VPN is active and connected if accessing the mail servers from a remote network.
* Clear browser cookies, cache, and temporary site files, then attempt authentication inside an Incognito/Private window.
* Navigate to Windows Settings -> Accounts -> Access work or school. Locate the corporate account, click 'Disconnect', reboot the machine, return to the same menu, click 'Connect', and re-authenticate.
6 & 7. Audio, Video, & Microphone Failures
Resolution Protocol:
* Disconnect external USB headsets or microphones, wait 5 seconds, and reconnect them to an alternate USB port. Check inline physical cable controls to ensure the hardware mute toggle is disengaged.
* Force a full workstation reboot to release stalled Windows audio services (no admin privileges required).
* Right-click the Speaker Icon in the Windows system tray and select 'Troubleshoot sound problems' to run the automated audio repair wizard.
* Open Microsoft Teams Settings -> Devices, and manually select the correct active hardware output and microphone from the device dropdown menus. Click 'Make a test call' to verify.
* Open Windows Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone. Verify that 'Allow apps to access your microphone' is enabled and that Microsoft Teams has active permissions.
